This non alc chocolate stout is cocreated with the team at Baron Hasselhoffs artisan chocolate makers in Wellington. Since February we have brewed stout micro batches and got to work building up this tasty brew with ingredients from all over the pacific.

Cacao from PNG, vanilla from Tonga, and a heady mix of spice to heat up your next beer tasting. In full strength beers the alcohol blends all the flavours together - not our beer - all the flavours play a distinct role in this brewlicious stout.

Second Batch So Much Better

I wrote a somewhat scathing review of the Chocolate Stout when it first came out but now have to eat my words. The second batch is great. It gets the flavours balanced just right and is quickly becoming one of my favourites. Well done Grant and your very talented brew team. Great improvement.

THE SOP GENESIS

After 25 years in big beer our founder Grant Caunter got bored with the booze (and being 50kgs overweight). He still loved beer but his affair with alcohol was over. Hello to a world of non-alc! In NZ back in 2022 there was not a lot of choice, so who better to start NZ’s zero alcohol brewery.

A great stout

I think this is the 2nd iteration of the stout. Much improved taste and really drinkable. My benchmark is the Tiny Stout which is slightly more bitter and more like a traditional stout.

Your Golden Lager is currently my favourite beer - and is miles better than all other zero's.
